The ringing woke her up. She fumbled for the alarm clock, only to realize it wasn't that. She pulled the cellphone to her ear, fighting away the grogginess. "Mmm...'ello?" she uttered.
"Miss Koron," the voice replied, "are you getting up or not? You're ten minutes late for our meeting." The male voice seemed slightly peeved. "Oh, nevermind; turn on your computer and get on the video chat; you can still be part of the meeting."
She rolled her eyes. "Thank you, sir," she said. She got up, and washed off, throwing water in her face. She got dressed and got on her laptop. The meeting took all of forty minutes; she hated her job so much, but at least she didn't have to come in every day.
"Now would be a good time for a walk," she uttered silently, walking out her door.

Adam walked down the street, scanning each home for an empty house to which he could stay in. It wasn't for comfort but security as he need very little rest, but couldn't get his own place as officially he didn't exist and had little money. He could easily 'persuade' someone to let him stay there, but that would feel wrong and it could endanger them.
He scanned another house only to find it occupied by a family. That reminded him of his own father, probably dead now after letting him escape. Escape, that was a joke, he could never truly escape Chronos as long as they had a grip on the world, but the only ones who stood a chance against them were the Givers, but now they are fighting amongst themselves. He had just witnessed such a fight the night before. A dark and grey Guyver were fight at a Chronos check point and one of them nearly destroyed a chunk of the city. Adam had tried to see in to there minds but was blocked, so he left before he was noticed.
The next house was empty, so he had found a temporary sanctuary. He walked to the door and manipulated the lock with his mind and did a brief sweep of the area to make sure he wasn't noticed when he sensed something. A mind that he could read but not control, and wasn't a Zoanoid. It was further down the street, a woman, but that was all he could get. He had only experienced this was before and that was with a lost number.

Annabelle froze in her tracks, wide-eyed. She felt someone probing inside her mind; it was a feeling she hadn't experienced since before being experimented on by Barcas. Before she was the only survivor of the Melvelkolzhi project, she was a scout; however, after becoming a lost number, mind reading her became difficult, nigh impossible. Only Barcas with his tremendous psionic will proved capable of doing it, so for whomever to read her mind was a powerful psion indeed.
Alright, whoever you are, she thought, knowing he would see these thoughts. Who are you, exactly? She would not be able to reply to him, but she wanted him to know that she knew she was being mind-read. She approached the direction her gut instinct told her the person was.
She picked up to a jogging pace. She pulled energy from the boost dimension in preparation for if she needed to go into her zoaform.

Alright, whoever you are, Who are you, exactly?
She had sensed his mental probing, which while uncommon was not impossible.
She must of had experience with a Zoalord
He sensed her moving towards him and levitated so that she wouldn't immediately notice him. It was become more difficult for him to search her mind, but one thing he could sense was a deep hatred for Chronos. Another was a name, Melvelkolzhi. He decide to address telepathically before making his presence known.
'Do not be alarmed, Melvelkolzhi, I am no threat to you.'
He lowered himself a good distance behind her, and readied a telekinetic barrier just in case. He waited for her to notice him before he continued.
"My name is Adam and I sense that we have some things in common."

She looked around, and noticed him behind her. Turning around rapidly, she looked him straight in the eye. "So, you're a guinea pig of Chronos too, huh? I don't know how you have such strong telepathic powers, but they certainly prove to be true. My code name is Melvelkolzhi."
She looked at her hands a minute. "They...they took my life away from me...and turned me into a monster...I'll never forgive Chronos! Let's not talk of this in public." She thought of his statement. "I can hide you at my place if Chronos is looking for you. They don't have a lot that can take me out. I'm almost as durable as Zx-tole and at least as strong as Derzerb."

He could feel the anguish in her over what Chronos had done, it reminded him of his own loss.
"I'm sorry, Chronos gave me life, but they took my father's in exchange."
That reminded him that they were out in the open and he did a quick scan to see if anyone had heard. He considered her offer for a moment, she seemed confident in her abilities and if she had a home than she wasn't a very High priority on Chronos most wanted list.
Probably more worried about the herd of Guyvers in the city and me wondering around
He was about to get the address form her mind but stopped as it would be impolite to simply take personal information for the mind of a potential ally.
"Thank you for your offer, I don't require much sleep, but I try to get as much as possible."
(Sorry its short I've had serious writers block.)

Annabelle walked, leading him back to her home. She didn't particularly enjoy living in a Chronos-controlled world, because there was always the risk that she would be brought back into that hellish organization.
"I hope someone puts an end to this vise grip Chronos has on the world," she mused.
(my post was short too)

"I hope someone puts an end to this vice grip Chronos has on the world"
They began to walk back to her home, and he had to admit that it felt nice to feel secure, if only partially, after running for months on end.
"Yes, but how do we know that won't lead to a tighter vice grip by another."
He remembered reading Makishima's profile back at Chronos. It shows how the man had no regard for human life and that he would do anything to get power. Adam couldn't see any real difference between Agito and Chronos, but enjoyed the face that Chronos had created one of its greatest threats. They seemed to have made a habit of that.
"In any case, people like us will always be use as weapons to fight for 'freedom' or hunted down as abominations or monsters, personally I'll fight for who ever gives me the better deal, so far that’s you."

Going back to her house, Annabelle sat down on her couch, lying back a bit. She put her hand to her forehead. "I'm sick of hiding from Chronos. I want to fight very badly. But then I realize that, what the **** am I gonna be able to do? And despite there being a bunch of bioboosted humans, none of them seem to want to work together to defeat the common enemy. It doesn't make any sense."
She pointed to the fridge. "I'm sorry; I should've invited you to get a drink first. It's in the refrigerator."

"I'm sorry; I should've invited you to get a drink first. It's in the refrigerator."
He got himself and drink and considered her question.
"There is no rule saying that you have to join a side, you could simply fight along side them and leave after the battle."
That was an new idea, free lancing in a war, that had the potential to be very advantageous, and very dangerous. The wrong move could make them every bodies enemies instead of just Chronos'.
"Of course that could also cause it's own set of problems."
He took a swig of his drink.
"What do you think?"
